Stewards of Elster Creek

School Front

In 2014, the Green Team had the privilege of being asked to become stewards of Elster Creek by Aunty Carolyn Briggs, Elder and Director of the Boon Wurrung Foundation.

As stewards the students aim to build awareness of pollution affecting Elster Creek and Port Phillip Bay, in particular plastic waste from our school grounds, the nearby playground and local businesses. The school received the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation Grant worth $5000 enabling this work to continue and for the water and waste components of the certification program to be undertaken.
